Static vs dynamic QR codes

Static codes bake content into the pattern. Dynamic codes use a short link so you can edit destinations and see scan counts. XeonQR includes 3 dynamic slots free; Pro expands to 50.

What is a static QR code?

A static QR encodes your payload directly (URL, Wi‑Fi, vCard, and more). It works offline forever and never needs a server. You cannot change the destination or count scans after you print it.

What is a dynamic QR code?

A dynamic QR stores a XeonQR short link like /r/…. On scan we redirect to your destination and log analytics. Change the target in the dashboard without reprinting stickers or flyers.

Which should you print?

Choose static for one-off personal codes you will never edit. Choose dynamic for marketing, menus, packaging, and anything that might change — or when you need scan counts by place and device.

FAQ

Are dynamic QR codes free on XeonQR?

Yes — Free accounts include 3 dynamic codes with editable destinations and scan tracking. Pro unlocks up to 50 slots and removes ads.

Can I convert a static QR to dynamic later?

Not the same print. Create a new dynamic code and replace the stickers, or start dynamic before you print.
