How UTM tags work
Add utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign so analytics can credit each channel. Use variants for utm_content when the same campaign appears on a window sticker vs a counter card.
Print tips
Prefer SVG or PDF for large print. Keep UTM values short so the QR stays easy to scan. Changing tags after print needs a new code (or a Pro dynamic link with an updated destination).
Free vs Pro
Free: compose UTM URLs and download static QRs. Pro: create multi-variant campaigns with /r/… tracking, dashboard rollups, custom params, and CSV export. See pricing.
FAQ
What UTM tags are, how they differ from XeonQR scan stats, and Free vs Pro.
What is a UTM QR code?
It is a QR that opens a web link with small tracking tags added (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and optional term/content). Those tags help tools like Google Analytics credit a visit to a flyer, email, or ad.
Does XeonQR replace Google Analytics?
No. XeonQR counts scans on Pro dynamic codes (place, device, and similar). UTM tags ride on the destination URL for your website or ad analytics after the person lands.
Can I use the UTM builder for free?
Yes. Build tagged URLs, preview them, and download static QR codes on Free. Tracked multi-variant campaigns (editable short links + dashboard rollups) need Pro.
Should each placement get its own QR?
Yes if you care which print drove the scan. Each Pro campaign variant uses one dynamic slot and its own short link, so you can compare window vs counter vs flyer without sharing one code across all of them.
